Shelly Fryer Review!
In EdTech 313 this week we got to read the blog of Shelly Fryer. I learned some interesting lessons that I can apply to my teaching, I go over these methods below!
Shelly Fryer is a 3rd and 4th grade teacher at Positive Tomorrows Elementary school in Oklahoma. Positive Tomorrows is a school specifically for homeless children. The students in her classroom are motivated to use their voices and share their own opinions on how they learn best, even when they are not in school! Her class builds, makes, and creates as part of their learning process. They actively share their teaching and learning experiences on their twitter and through blog posts,

A big part of Shelly's classroom is the student podcast. Her students host a radio show called Room 108 Oklahoma City. The student's use the radio show as a way to do a verbal reflection following a lesson, a response to a prompt or question, and many other ways as well. There are currently 47 episodes ranging from "Planning New Learning Spaces" to "Our Last Day of School."
